Virtualtech's hosting plans exist for one reason only - to complete a turnkey package for our design clients. This allows our small business clients to establish a "one-stop" presence on the Internet. Therefore, except under specialized circumstances, Virtualtech no longer offers website hosting as a standalone product.

If you are simply looking for a low-cost hosting account to host your website with, you will probably find that Virtualtech is not the least expensive, and may not fit your needs. Why?

Unlike the large hosting companies and ISPs, we do not see hosting as a commodity, but rather an additional service to our design clients. To assure that our quality of service remains superior, we do not grant hosting access to "just anyone who pays us"... meaning that only a handful of people have access to the server. We are very selective about which sites are hosted with us, which means that your site is hosted on the same server with other professionally designed websites... not sharing space with bandwidth-gobbling, amateur-designed sites which can regularly crash a server (and take your site down with it).

With our hosting packages combined with our website design and Internet marketing services, you can rest assured that your website is located with a company whose focus is on making your small business successful on the Internet... not a company who simply wants to sell as many hosting accounts as possible. You are not simply a number when you host your site with Virtualtech!

We at Virtualtech are proud to offer hosting on our dedicated Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server colocated within the GreenBayNet data center, located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This data center is powered by links through the Internet backbone over high-speed fiber optic connections, and the GBFD approved facility offers redundant battery UPS powered uptime.

The server is 100% owned and maintained by Virtualtech. Unlike most other design firms in the area, we are not a "reseller" for another hosting company. What does this mean to you?

Let's see how a support issue would be addressed by a reseller:

  • You contact your host (reseller) with an issue.
  • The reseller submits a support ticket with the parent company.
  • The parent company attempts to resolve the issue.
  • The parent company contacts the reseller with the solution, or a request for more information.
  • The reseller submits another support ticket to the parent company with the required information.
  • After a few more rounds of this, the parent company notifies the reseller that the issue is resolved.
  • The reseller notifies you that the issue is resolved.

Now, let's see how a support issue would be addressed by Virtualtech.

  • You contact Virtualtech with an issue.
  • Virtualtech resolves the issue... probably while you are still on the phone.

Like you, the last thing we want is angry phone calls from clients complaining that their site is down, so we have taken steps to minimize the potential for any issues... and steps to ensure that those issues are resolved promptly. The high powered network is constantly monitored by both Virtualtech and GreenBayNet, and Virtualtech's 24/7 monitoring service immediately notifies Virtualtech personnel in the event of an outage so that we can address any problems immediately.
