Your First Steps

  1. Browse the Internet and notice what other companies have done with their websites. This helps you decide what you want and don't want on your site.
  2. When you find a site you really like or dislike, print the page. This will help you remember what the idea was and where you found it. It will also help your Web designer better understand what it is you want.
  3. Compare several design companies. Talk to them about what they offer and the experience they have. Price, of course, is important... however, a site that increases your bottom line is your main concern. Moreover, it can take a long time to undo the damage caused to your image by a site that appears amateurish.
  4. Visit websites that the design company has done and ask yourself the following:
    • Is the site easy to navigate?
    • Do the pages load quickly?
    • Does the website make you want to read more and/or buy?
    • Are the colors and graphics appropriate and pleasing?

"Hi Tammy! I just wanted to let you know in the past 5 days I had 2 people from the web site. Different demographics, an 18 year old girl and a 50 year old man. They both liked the web site a lot and said it looked very professional and it made them decide where to get their massages. So thanks again!"
